We just off road tested the NCM Moscow 27.5 Electric Mountain bike Fresh out of the box, We literally went to the 3PL warehouse and was told “You Are The First Person To Ever Pick Up One Of These Bikes in The USA”. We took our precious cargo to The Bike Shop Santa Monica and had it Professionally Assembled and Tuned. Right out of the box this bike’s Top Notch Quality screamed “RIDE ME” We hit the Marvin Braude bike path along the Santa Monica Strand and headed North to the Santa Monica Mountains. On the flats I had more than enough power and had to restrain myself from going too fast amongst the Beach Cruising crowd. I hit the trail head in what seemed like no time at all. I rode up the Sullivan ridge trail and dropped into Sullivan Canyon around Camp Joshepho. The Climb was effortless for this 500 watt 48 volt set up on the USA version of the NCM Moscow. The Descent into the canyon tracked well with the help of the Tektro M280 Disc Brakes and the Suntour Fork, I would recommend upgrading to a Body Float or Similar Suspension seat post if you ride on rough or rocky trails. We finished the climb up the canyon and breezed up “The Wall Section” at the top in the middle chain ring, with more gears to spare. We made it around the Loop via the Temescal Fire road to the Hub and down the Back Bone Trail to Will Rogers State Park and back to Santa Monica with 1 Bar left on the Battery after roughly a 27 mile journey. Over all the NCM Moscow is an amazing package and value for only $1499. it is also available with a 17 amp hour Battery for $1799.
